ABOUT JUJUME

Years of long hours and poor diet à la corporate life had taken its toll: high blood pressure, inflammation and extra pounds.  Per doctor’s orders, I take some time off to finally visit family in California’s Southern Mojave Desert where they run an organic jujube farm.

After a restful week of cozy farm life, and a crash course on all things jujubes, my farmer cousin sends me off with a several month’s supply of dried jujube fruit, chips and liquid extract.

As promised, I ate jujubes daily for the next few months as a routine snack or dessert.  My health and appearance gradually starts showing an uptick.  I was sleeping better and my wife even mentioned that my skin and hair looked healthier.  But my jujube care package was nearly finished.

While the jujube fruit is well known internationally for its powerful anti-aging and wellness benefits, NONE of my local markets carried it with most assuming that I was referring to a movie theater candy.  The ones I did find at Asian markets and Amazon were of low quality, not organic and/or imported from regions notorious for low food safety standards.

This market void (combined with my newfound appreciation for the jujube’s health benefits) inspired me to introduce jujubes to the mainstream and make its products easily accessible (sparing customers a trip to the Mojave Desert).  That’s how JUJUME was born.  I attribute a good deal of my newfound wellness to this stuff and I am happy to share what worked for me and my family with the rest of the world.  Here’s to your health!
